ENTRY CLEARANCE ASSISTANT VACANCY


The British Embassy in Rabatinvites applications for the position of Entry Clearance Assistant in the Visa Section. The position will be available from the end of April 2012. The contract will be for one year, subject to satisfactory completion of a three-month probationary period.


Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):




  • capturing biometric data from applicants

  • entering application details on the UK Border Agency database

  • printing visa vignettes

  • dealing with correspondence from members of the public


The successful candidate will be confident with IT, have strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to produce good-quality drafts in English under the minimum of supervision. Applicants may be required to sit an English aptitude test.
French and/or Arabic language ability would be an advantage but this is not a job requirement.

The salary will be on the British Embassy’s LEIII pay scale. Tax will be deducted at source.
The successful applicant will be required to obtain security clearance that can be granted only to certain nationalities. For this reason, only applications from citizens of the UK, EU, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand will be considered.
This is a full-time position. However, there is the possibility that the job could be shared between two people. Please indicate your preference in your application.
